Hardest Part in Blogging

October 31, 2010

Let me ask this simple question. What is the hardest part in blogging according to you personaly? Is it about writing and getting an article idea? Alternatively, is it about time management? Or some other technique related just like modifying php line, css style, java script or what? For me, time management seems to be the hardest part.Really it is. Sometimes I’m updating my blog content once in a week and or two.

It is not that because I have no idea about what I want to write, yea well it happened sometimes :D But updating the blog in timely fashion is the hardest part for me. Doing it in regular 2 or 3 days basis almost seems super-super hard althought not impossible what so ever of course. Focus and consistency probably the key to get rid this thing.

It was quite ironic while some blogger not even has updated his/her blog for weeks or even months! While in the other hand some are very passionate and updating their blog once or more in a day, wow! I have observed my self and my “best” performance was one update in 2 or 3 days, and the worst was once in 2 weeks. How about you?

It is just like hollow days of my blog when I’m not updating it, like buried deeply in the silent. However, luckily I’m always sparing some of my time, almost everyday for visiting another blog or site and forum. To exchange a link, giving a comment in do follow blog, or participating in discussion. Of course course to get some backlinks also  :)  I think I never missed this one, that is because I’m enjoying it. Share and learn new experience and knowledge with others.

Building a powerful backlink and anchor is my first priority for this blog, because i’m projecting this blog for longterm.Probably that causes me not really updating it’s content.I’m writing this article now to always remind me about what i want ,what is my priority, now and then etc.Hopefuly it will always remind me for my goal.

So,what is the biggest problem or the hardest part that you feel the most in blogging?

The hardest part for me is formulating a topic. Like what to write? As long as I have a topic, the actual article will fall into place.

My BIGGEST problem is what to write on my blog. I have made about 10 blogs which I abandoned after 3days to a week because I have nothing to write. I always envy people who can just write in their blogs for fun. Do you have any tips?

I think most of bloggers have that kind of problem, including me.Making a blog, installing, customizing is pretty easy but maintaining it is the hardest.I suggest you decide what kind of niche,if you wanna make a niche blog so you can stay focus on it.Or what kind of characteristic you want for your blog, what kind of topic/article which is relevant with your blog characteristic. So your focus will not blured. So many resource on the net which can help you to have some idea to write an article :)

I know exactly where you are coming from on this, when I first started blogging, I was exactly the same. For me, the key to good blogging is to choose a subject/niche that you truly love, that way, you will never ever struggle to put good content on to your blog, the other alternative is to go and outsource all this, especially if you are looking to make money from your blog, this keeps the blog fresh.

I know that if a blog as not been updated for awhile, it puts people off from posting, I think its best to establish one good blog at a time, before moving on to another one.

Creating a blog is not that easy. You have to think about what topic will make readers become more interested in reading your blog. Maintaining a fresh content is very important. The design of a blog is also hard to maintain because you have to see to it that it will be attractive so that visitors will be more interested in reading its content.. Good post!

The hardest part for me is to build a link back and gain some PR, it takes lot of time to do that. Maybe because i’m not patient enough. Although sometimes i do post once in a week, overall i’m able to make it in 2-3 days, though sometimes i need to find some idea to write.

Updating a blog is the most common problem of every blogger. The need to update a blog is a must that he must focus on if he wants to have a consistent result from search engine. Aside from that, the link building that he needs to create to make his blog more popular.

Blogs often start out as hobbies or just open diaries for people to get their thoughts out. As soon as you start trying to earn from your blog or increase readership then you will soon run out of time. It can be extremly difficult to devote time to blogs as you have to:

Write the blog post
Promote via social media
Promote via other blogs
Respond to comments

which can take a lot of time!.

I think the answer is obvious, the hardest part is to get traffic and readers. Why to write an article if nobody read it, there is no point. And getting loyal visitors and readers is very important.

Very interesting.I’m agree with you. That part is a very time consuming. But in the other hand by targeting certain keywords ,we can get some ammount of traffic and readers.Although not easy to keeping balance between writing an interesting article for real human visitors and making a great meta data for spider bots.

Finding things to write about isn't the hardest thing for me, but drawing in traffic is by far the hardest thing. It's a very slow process for any site I make to get traffic increasing.

Love Songs, I totally agree with yo. The toughest part in making blogs is waiting for the natural traffic to come in, which takes months or even years! All we need to do is keeping blog up-to-date and doing link exchange with others webmaster!

Excellent article, I'm just starting out with my blogs and I will use a lot of these points as we go along. It seems a little overwhelming at times but we are making steady progress

I agree. Formulating a topic is one of the crucial stage when writing an article. Maintaining the excitement and keeping your readers glued to your article is also a challenge.
