Ski Vacations at Solitude Mountain Resort Utah

May 15, 2011

Solitude Mountain Resort UtahIf you’re seeking the supreme Utah ski vacation, Solitude Mountain Resort features everything that you could desire or need. On the early 1900’s, the area was full of silver mineworkers, who established the area its notable name. Nowadays, the area is covered with skiers ,but the bunches are preferably light.

The area turned a skier’s paradise in 1957. It was originated by Robert Barrett, who gained his luck as a uranium miner. He essentially began evolving the resort, since he was refused restroom prerogatives at the ski area in Alta  as he wasn’t a guest.Today possessed by a different family, the resort boasts 1200 acres of 63 runs for novices, medium skiers, and experts. There are eight lifts, including seven chairlifts and one surface lift. The top elevation at Solitude Mountain is 10036 feet, with a vertical drop of 2048 feet.

There are five lodging selections for invitees, and activities and events happen entirely throughout the year. The resort appears similar a Tom Kincaide painting, and one cannot help but wonder if this is where a few of his inspiration arrived from!
