Disadvantages of public schooling

June 9, 2011

When we charge our kids to public schools, we feel gratified that they’re obtaining ‘quality education’. However, are we truly making our money’s worth? More significantly, are the children acquiring anything from this sort of a learning process?

Socialization is acclaimed as among the biggest advantage of schools. This is the spot where the kid apprehends the basics of social skills that facilitate him survive. However, truly, a regular school-going child could interact merely with his matches. He might bully junior children or fright senior ones. He doesn’t know how to act with a grownup. This is because in the school environment he interacts solely with his peers. A home schooling environment brings in a more instinctive social environment.

A regular school going child can’t understand literature. He can’t hold silent or think in profundity about any single thing. The unreal ‘busy’ness brought down upon him by the school prohibits silence reflexion. Rowdy and harmful behaviour, as experienced among peers, is more obtrusive in school-goers.

There is little long-standing cognition among regular school goers because most things are studied for the examination. There is no correlativity of facts with life. The kid might know many, but understands very petty. This is where the homeschoolers dumbfound the regular school goers. Finally, homeschoolers go forth more proficient at fronting the external world.
